The Mission of LegacyCreators is to Improve the rate of retention, graduation and employment for students enrolled in high poverty and low academic performing Title I Schools through the implementation of a Roadmap to Success that will provide the foundation for Economic and Equitable Development as a means to empower, implement and facilitate Racial and Social Justice.
George Floyd Memorial Service and the Demand for Racial and Social Justice
The LegacyCreators Game Plan To Fight For Racial and Social justice: Economic and Equitable Development
Stakeholders Have to Agree on the Definitions of the Societal Elements to Change
The National Education Association (NEA) defines Racial Justice as the systematic fair treatment of people of all races, resulting in equitable opportunities and outcomes for all. Racial justice or Racial Equity goes beyond “anti-racism.”
Racial Justice is not just the absence of discrimination and inequities, but also the presence of deliberate systems and supports to achieve and sustain racial equity through proactive and preventative measures.
The San Diego Foundation defines Social Justice as the Equal Rights, Equal Opportunity and and Equal Treatment for all. The Center for Economic and Social Justice states that Social Justice encompasses Economic Justice.
According to the The International Economic Development Council, the main goal of Economic Development is improving the economic well being of a community through efforts that entail job creation, job retention, tax base enhancements and quality of life.
According to the Environmental Protection Agency, Equitable Development is an approach for meeting the needs of underserved communities through policies and programs that reduce disparities while fostering places that are healthy and vibrant.

LegacyCreators Has Always Chosen the Most Positive Transformation to Change
Instead of telling students not to be late to class, we speak to the value of being on-time to class. Instead of living in fear of low standardized scores, we promote the successful outcomes associated with higher performance on standardized exams. Instead of pointing fingers at the causes of high unemployment, we improve the rate of employment in our community by building Technology Skills (STEM: Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) to create Marketing and Branding Solutions for small and medium size organizations via the Implementation and Integration of Social Media, Web Design and Web Development Solutions.
Thus, rather than "Fight Against Racial and Social Injustice", the mission of LegacyCreators is to "Fight For Racial and Social Justice" through the implementation of Economic and Equitable Development best practices; Job Creation as a means to Reduce Disparities.

In the same manner properly planned and implemented Economic and Equitable Development in underserved communities of color that produces residents acquiring skilled living wage employment will not prevent leukemia or breast cancer, what it does do is provide the health insurance that will reduce the Racial and Social Injustice/Disparity in the survival rate of Black versus White Americans.
This same logic applies to the demand for Racial and Social Justice. Economic and Equitable Development success stories are not immune to Racial and Social Injustice. Senator Tim Scott has been stopped by the Capitol Police 7 TIMES, which is absurd given the fact he is one of only two Black Male Senators. Don Cheadle has lost count of the number of times he has been stopped by the police.
Planned and implemented Economic and Equitable Development will provide communities of color with the education and financial means by which to hold governmental entities and corporations accountable for their systemic Racial and Social Injustice!
